Some projects are more than just an assignment. They are a collaboration that stems from mutual respect and a shared passion.
My friendship with Berlaen started during the museum sessions and grew into a long-lasting bond in which we supported each other through good times and bad.
When he asked me to design merchandise for his album, it felt like a natural extension of that connection.

For this project, I created a zoetrope slipmat, a series of stickers and a mini zoetrope as a download code card.
The slipmat transforms a still image into a fluid animation when played on a turntable with the right lighting.
This added an extra visual dimension to Berlaen’s music.

This collaboration with Berlaen was special for me. Not only because I appreciate his music, but also because he has always supported my creative process as a friend. This project was not a standard merchandise assignment, but a visual translation of our shared love for music and art.
